Personally I think we should completely do away with medicare, medicaid and employee subsidized health care coverage.  This puts us all in the same boat.  Then we see a few years down the road what people really want to do with health care.  In the meantime we save a ton of money we can put toward the deficit.  Right now its such a lopsided system and the people who have all of these benefits...
